Chromatic thoughts

Sad. But google chrome doesn't seem ready for linux yet. It seems to use the same components used by internet explorer, like in the "Change proxy settings" in the options. I had to reboot to switch from linux ( which had been running for weeks) to windows. Anyway, there may be a linux port around soon.

By the way the "full" installer can be downloaded from this link http://cache.pack.google.com/chrome/install/149.27/chrome_installer.exe

The little "online" installer may be slow, and I can't find a way to configure how it downloads the "full" installer.

Cheese flavored toroidoids

The more appropriate term for cheese rings. Since they are not totally cheese. They are thick enough not to be rings. And they are not perfectly shaped.

Whatever happened to my lexical capability... it's not good.

The Tweeter

She's not a member of the lab.
She hasn't undergone the difficult process of being a member.
She doesn't clearly know the rules obeyed by members.
Not being a member, she doesn't deserve anyone's time or attention... just the minimum kindness any stranger gets.
And yet she is usually much noisier than the rest of us.
Like suddenly we had a noisy mother. An annoying noisy mother of some spoiled child.
She even gives errands to other lab members who are not members of the subgroup that hired her. Even to the god (first time I heard a god said "why me?").
She is a disturbance to those who are trying to do research. To those who need silence and concentration.
Her squeal is a pain to our ears. Usually her squeals are of a non research nature.
She must be disciplined.
She must be aware of the code of silence that MEMBERS of this lab practice. She must respect that.
She must be sent away otherwise.

Battle scars on my guitar

I'm having second thoughts about the craftsmanship of the guys who made my guitar (whose name I would only tell if you ask me personally). Or maybe it was just badly scratched to begin with. Or maybe they are not as skilled in fixing ones as compared to making new ones. Well I understand it is easier to start from clean scratch than to patch up something. There is less degree of freedom on repairs. Nevertheless, I'm starting to doubt if the people who repair are the same people who make guitars... At least it still sounds nice, due to its smooth interior. And there are no more buzzing notes (if you're buying a guitar, test every note on every fret. don't just sit down there and play something stupid. a single song will usually just utilize less than 60% of the fretboard.). And it sounds far more better than my stratocaster imitation unplugged. Oh well, even the great Blackie and Evo had their damages. And most of Tommy's guitars are brutally finished. I wasn't just expecting ZERI's to be that soon. In any case damages add a personal touch. Now we share a few more things in common. At least she's back, ready to comfort my soul, to weep with me, to make my fingertips ache, to say the words I can't say, to send me to dreamland. I missed her.
